It’s Thursday
Last night during Bible Study, we saw that the Apostle Paul teaches us this:
Use whatever reason you can find to send you to prayer!
Like that time I bought flowers for Karen because it was Wednesday. Or the time you called that friend because you saw a flock of seagulls and it reminded you of a concert where you saw somebody who reminded you of them. It doesn’t matter what the reason is, as long as you use it as a reason to go to God like it matters!
So….it’s Thursday. What are you going to do? I know what I’m doing.
Pastor Jeff,
Something you said last night that stuck out to me was having the faith of a mustard seed. I never understood what that meant or what the concept meant other than I needed to have faith, then I read something today that put it all together and I wanted to share it with the group. In Jentzen Franklin’s fasting book he said “We need to plant that seed of faith–no matter how small–into whatever mountain stands in our way and believe it will be moved because Jesus said it would”. I thought I understood faith but after reading this one statement I realize I wasn’t really “getting it”. Thank you for your message last night. It really resonated in me and prepped me to really “get it” with this statement. Its a growing process right?
That’s terrific! Step by step, we’re making headway!! So glad you’re a part of Promise. Sunday’s going to be fantastic. See you then.
